Essaouira, perched on the edge of Morocco’s Atlantic coast, is the bohemian hub of the country. It combines the white washed buildings of the Mediterranean with walled Spanish ramparts and North Africa’s bustling, fragrant spice souks. The vibe of the town is very much relaxed and due to it’s mix of surf culture, beach scene and laid back approach, it has become a draw to backpackers from all over the world. This combination of Mediterranean charm, Moroccan other worldliness and medieval architecture make it infinitely photogenic.
